Galway videoblog introduces the Semantic Web

Adam Green recently declared that a major milestone had been reached when Danny Ayers used Grazr* to publish a coding experiment to convert a SPARQL query into OPML. "I have just seen the Semantic Web for the first time", said Green.

So I'm trying to catch up on the 'big S' stuff again and Ina O'Murchu's new videoblog series appears right on cue. In a short interview with Eyal Oren from the Outreach program at DERI in Galway we get a nice introduction to concepts and purpose of the Semantic Web. Already looking forward to the next installment. Perhaps John Breslin can bring us up to speed on SIOC developments?

Here's hoping someone from DERI outreach presents their stuff at BarCamp Southeast in Waterford on January 20th.

Yes, this group work in a very important area as regards the future of the web and we're lucky to have them based in Ireland. Hopefully they'll come along and share thier expertise in Waterford.
