GroupSurveys powered PollDaddy, from Irish company Infacta is getting some great coverage following an appearance at the inaugural WidgetsLive. Johnathan, did you bump into Adam Green of Grazr at all?
TechieDog has the most comprehensive report I've read and includes some pertinent take-aways -
"A common theme for the day was the importance of synchronizing of widgets across platforms, such that changes in state made to a widget instance on one computer is reflected on different computer, mobile device or browser..... the reiteration of this point belies an important attribute of the multi-modal widget, namely its straddling of the browser and OS native environment. This new split environmental plane of existence demanding its own code of behavior distinct from a web only or OS only resident app."

Hey James - thanks for the mention! The event was great. Casual and nicely focused. Lots of issues discussed. Business models not featuring that much (I guess because they are few and far between in this space yet).
PollDaddy went down really well. Of course we were the muppets in the loud t-shirts :)
I spotted Adam a few times but I've never met him so I felt a little uneasy about going over and bugging him. I'm at Web2.0 now listening to Canter (and he's on form!) - If I see Adam I'll be sure to introduce myself. He demo'd the grazr script stuff yesterday and that looks really impressive. It will be interesting to see where this technology goes and what the community does with it.
Regarding Web2.0 - there are a few Irish heads here - Culann from Rocudo, Ivan from MySay, Julian from Tablane, Fergus from Nooked, Peter Conlon from Emuse/Xsil and Ben Mosse from EI. I'll try and keep you informed of how we get on.
Cheers!
