Doing the things that aren't done

Adam Curry does a final thought of the week. I don't. But today I'm delegating my first one to a 93-year-old who writes about not wanting to die [via BoingBoing.net] -

"There are many reasons. For too long I have behaved as if I could postpone going indefinitely, and thus have so many things that I must do first. I don't want my successors to find out how much I could have done that isn't done, not by a long shot."

You don't have to be retired to get a lump in your throat when reading that, nor to take a positive message away. I find it a fitting follow on from Walter's words wisdom, which are well worth repeating -

"If you think about it, most people are all about minimizing risks - entrepreneurs are about minimizing regrets."

So, even as the week is coming to an end I'm already looking forward to next week and doing some of the things that aren't done.
