Web 2.0 is running out of names!
Yes folks Web 2.0 is undoubtedly running out of names. I've complained before about the crowded Zed.0 (pronounced zed-e-oh) namespace but DEMO has hammered the final nail in the coffin.
First Bernie reported on Vuvox which had me thinking, "hold on a minute, isn't that the crowd who do voice solutions for virtual worlds?" But no, that's actually Vivox, with an "i".
And now I see Scoble singing the praises of EyeJot, "something I’ll use to send around video comments and things to my friends and family". But wait, haven't I heard about this company ages ago? D'oh! No, that was EyeSpot - "movie moaking for all of us".

Crikey, that's right! Hey we could invent a new kind of scrabble based around Web 2.0 syllables. So.... use the following syllables to make as many Web 2.0 names as possible - Eye, Jot, Spot, Vi, Vu and Vox. I've got at least 6 ;-)

Hey Eire-
If you like eyeyjot you’ll love the more originally named gabmail and gabjam (www.freegabmail.com). Just like eyeyjot there’s no download required but there’s also no registration required so you just hit the site and away you go. You can send unlimited numbers of messages of up to 2 minutes for free and every message is threaded so you have one-click access to every video in the thread. And you can send messages from any email client or webmail program.
Cheers! Nick.

Nick - great comment. There's definitely room for lots of exciting products. I think, though, readers will find Eyejot takes a different approach, providing a feature rich, highly comprehensive platform that has an integrated "inbox." People want to do more than email links. That why we created Eyejot. And, with mobile support and syncing with iTunes and iPods, Eyejot provides video messages where you want them, when you want them.
