Patrick Liddy of Activation Energy tells me 6 people attended OpenCoffee Club in Limerick last week and he was "very happy with the turn out each time I've been there so far as I had never met the people before and was delighted to hear about their businesses for the first time." Jan Blanchard says it was "good as usual" and posted a great reflection by Wannita of the day's discussion.
I was very disappointed to miss it and the opportunity to meet newcomers like Clare Collins and Donncha Hughes. Unfortunately I won't make it next week either because I'll be in Berlin for a few days.
What really struck me today though, as I flicked through Clare's website for Living Land iTours, was the intriguing amount of crossover between what different attendees are working on. Conn and Bernie are two of Ireland's best known podcasters. Shane and Paul are working on rather complementary audio messaging systems, Clare is producing audio tours of Limerick and Jan is developing a tourism guide community. Obviously this group has lots to learn from each other!
By the way, here's the Upcoming Group for Limerick OpenCoffee Club which is where we can plan out future meetings. I've started a discussion on Plans for Limerick OpenCoffee Club so please chime in there when you get a chance (unfortunately I can't figure out how to change my username from trap4 to EirePreneur. Anyone?).
* Yes, I admit I had to check the definition of symbiosis,... which is - "a biological relationship in which two species live in close proximity to each other and interact regularly in such a way as to benefit one or both of the organisms." That sounds like Limerick OpenCoffee to me! ;-)

It does look like there are interesting synergies (just to use another fancy word ;)) between entrepreneurs in Limerick.
No doubt that there is a lot to learn from all these passionate people. And that Opencoffee can help to foster partnerships and links within our community.
I'm always amazed to see the number of entrepreneurs and freelancers who live in our neighborhood . Let's keep these meetings coming and attract more of these open minded people. Thanks for the discussion you initiated on upcoming.

James Corbett should take a bow because Limerick OpenCoffee is one of the most valuable eirepreneural activities in Ireland.
