Eamon Costello says he "talked to head of an engineering course in DCU this week he thinks migrant labour pushing wages down whereas law, accounting more cosseted professions less easily outsourced or affected by migration."
Will goes on to ponder the role of science programmes on TV, like Tomorrow's World, in making science seem fun and cool, and wonders if the new generation of video podcasts coming out of Ireland could be syndicated and rolled up into a themed night. Whatever about RTE I imagine this idea would make lots of sense for TV3 or TG4? Alex Gibson's excellent MediaShow is already being shown on City Channel and I'd love to see Intruders.tv Ireland, Podleaders (video) and Technolotics getting a similar boost.
