GPS resources - new lab

Stemming from my fascination with mobile technologies is a new interest in the Global Positioning System (GPS). In recent weeks I've been searching everywhere (on Google, etc.) for Irish resources on this and other location-based systems but, unfortunately, have found them very scarce indeed.

So, why not setup my own one? Ireland In Your Hand is the latest €irePreneur lab and will be a channel for tracking (forgive the pun) developments in location-based technologies and in particular how they apply to the Irish market.

The next step is to buy myself a GPS unit. Any advice?
