I was fairly chuffed with myself when my my first payment from Google Adsense arrived recently, but my revenue pales in significance when compared with Chris Pirillo's earnings. From PaidContent.org -
Google's own Adsense has done some good for some people...and this story documents it in some detail. Chris Pirillo, who runs the Lockergnome.com, is clearing about $10K a month in AdSense revenues.Holy schmoley..... $10k per month?!?!
Anyone running Adsense while getting 10,000 page impressions a day will serve more than 9,000 ads from Google. Taking what people like Pirillo and Beattie mention off the cuff, some of those ads pay nothing more than a mouse click. Others pay a dollar. Assuming the average pays 40 cents a click, you're on $4000 a day. These are real numbers and have to be affecting what some bloggers write about because you're paid more for certain advertisements. Think about the metric arising from higher traffic, high-end gadgets and attorneys. There is a higher-paying content feed in those themes.
