Irish workers clock up the longest hours in Europe

THE Irish are the “work horses” of Europe and are putting in more hours on the job than any of their western European counterparts, according to new research.
Ireland has the highest proportion of people working more than 60 hours per week in 15 European states studied for the report, due to be released this week by the Work Foundation, an independent UK consultancy.

Jeepers! Suddenly it doesn't feel so bad putting in 60+ hours working for myself each week :-)
