Bernie Goldbach and Gavin Sheridan have been playing with Google Maps and Nasa World Wind. Coincidentally I spent 3 hours BitTrickling all 170Mb of World Wind to my notebook PC yesterday and couldn't 'put it down' afterwards. It was incredible to be able to simulate the same breath-taking view of Mount Tiede, the volcanic peak of Tenerife, that I had when flying home from there two years ago. I was then able to click on a dust storm warning icon and see the (almost) live satellite photo of a dust cloud blowing its way off the African continent into the Atlantic, not far below Tenerife. Incredible.
Its at times like these that I feel a little jealous of today's students - tools like this really bring geography to life.
I had a desire to start my business, nevertheless I didn't have got enough amount of money to do it. Thank God my close colleague said to utilize the credit loans. Hence I took the student loan and realized my dream.
