One of the great things about blogging is being able to mine your referral data for insight and knowledge. A strong trend that I'm not surprised to notice, since I've started blogging about OpenEir - the open source map of Ireland - is the latent demand among foreigners for Irish mapping data in GPS formats. A large percentage of hits on €irePreneur are now coming through various international search engines (in particular Google.de) looking for combinations of the keywords - GPS, Ireland, Waypoints, Tracklogs, Irish, Map.
Said another way, the government stifles commerce by forcing the Ordnance Survey to charge for geodetic data.

Exactly Bernie. I can only imagine the frustration of all these foreigners who'd like to plan their journey becoming coming on holiday to Ireland. I wonder how many decide to go elsewhere instead when they can find what they're looking for?
