Only hours after I posted about the just in time web we have a tragic example of it in the news coverage of the London bombings.
Technorati's search engine operates on the World Live Web and their top search of the hour listing is currently dominated by phrases that include the word London. But the emphasis here is on their tagging technology which aggregates the Just-in-time web, pulling in (up to the minute) photos from Buzznet and Flickr and links from Delicious and Furl. Neither London bombing nor London explosions existed as tags 24 hours ago but they now aggregate some of the most poignant stories and photos from citizen journalists.
More extraordinary still is the Google Earth 'tour' of the bomb blasts (in sequence) and interactive map, created by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
