Reading Lists and mind bombs

Pito Salas of BlogBridge, the Java based RSS feed aggregator, has put together a new screencast to show you how to use Reading Lists. And Dave Winer has just added Readling List support to NewsRiver. He describes the innovation thus -

Reading lists are simple yet very very powerful. We have a phrase for such things, we call them Mind Bombs. Defined on 8/26/00: "What's a Mind Bomb? An idea that's so strange or powerful that it explodes in your mind. And that's a good thing!"

If you want to try out an Irish reading list here's the one Simon McGarr put together for our education on issues relevant to Digital Rights Ireland. It would be great if the node editors working (voluntarily) on the Open Irish Directory could create a second version of their OPML nodes, containing only RSS links. Then we could also use those as reading lists. Perhaps there should be at least two parallel versions of the directory - one with just website links and the other with just live feeds. Hmmm...
