... no, no, only joking! Cappuccino took the place of dinner but there were two certifiable geeks present and accounted for - myself and Conn. And I can tell by the photos that Conn has already blogged about it - I just wish I understood what he said ;-)
We met up in the lobby of the Clarion and had a great chinwag on all things tech, blogging and podcasting. You know, as much as I love online social networking there's no doubt but that you can't beat the bandwidth of face-to-face conversation. That is, until such time as you place a lust worthy Sony MiniDisc and stereo mic on the table and hit the record button ;-)

Conn has been podcasting prolifically of late and he was a mine of information on the subject. I tend to clam up when in the presence of audio visual recording devices but I'm glad that Conn has helped me make up my mind that I need to get over that self-conscious inhibition and improve my speaking abilities. Any entrepreneur needs to be capable of making coherent and impressive presentations so its time to bite the bullet. Look for an EirePreneur podcast sometime in 2006.
We must have spent nearly two hours with hardly a pause in the conversation so we're already looking forward to next month's meetup. Silicon Valley style informal networking has taken root in Limerick and we'd be delighted for you to join us at next month's Geek Cappuccino :)
