In the old days (in internet time) it used to be a simple matter to keep an eye on your favourite bloggers. You could just bookmark the page and return regularly.
But then more and more interesting blogs started popping up and you were forced to join the early adopters club by utilising one of those super duper Feed Aggregator thingys. You could breathe again, it was all under control.
But then those blasted bloggers started distributing their digital lives further through fancy shmancy 'social software' tools like del.icio.us, Flickr and coComment. Not to mention podcasts. And all these things generated separate RSS feeds. Arghhhhh!!
So in an effort to get on top of it all again I've started compiling a Grand Unified View of the Irish Blogosphere,..... er, an OPML file with one subnode per blogger linking to all his or her various feeds. Second level subnodes are created in the case where a blogger has more than one blog or podcast, etc.
The best way to view the Irish Blogger Feeds tree is with Rowan Nairn's OPod. Just enter this link in the "Try your own file" space underneath the widget and click Go. Of course I'll be adding this node into the Open Irish Directory shortly.
Its difficult to compile all the information so can anyone who'd like to be included please help by commenting with (or emailing) links to your various feeds please. And of course if anyone doesn't want their Flickr (or other) feed added please let me know too.
You could always add this feed:
