Paul Browne lists 10 things he learned at the Web 2.0 Event in Dublin, including - (7) Nobody can agree what Web 2.0 is. All the more reason why Joshua Porter's definition works for me - Web 2.0 is leveraging the network.

Meaning "network" as the collection and linkage of nodes, where nodes are effectively people?
I still think Web 2.0 is about the nodes bootstrapping themselves. The value coming from the end users and not from VC-overfunded clusters.

At this point I've asked about 20 people what the think web 2.0 is - every time a get different answers. Not just slightly different, but fundamentally different.
One point that will hopefully come out in the video (when it's posted online) is that because web 2.0 is so customisable, it will mean different things to different people. E.g for my Uncle Web 2.0 is just a way to make cheap calls from the US to Ireland.
