Here's a hint of what I was promising attendees of the pre-Awards podcasting event in Dublin a few weeks ago. I was actually referring to closed beta Treedia at the time but Dan MacTough has gone ahead and added media features to his Feed Grazer - Optimal Browser.
So, just take a look at the Open Irish Directory as viewed through Optimal, scroll down to News & Media and then open the Podcasting node (or just go straight to the Podcasting node). Expand the feed items and then click on the speaker icon to listen, inline. Or click on the down arrow icon to download.
Finally Liam Burke gets to see why it was worth his time building a Podcasting node. Remember, while this may be no great shakes for you podcatching techies, just think about the newbies! Only a browser and a single bookmark required to access the whole of the Irish Podosphere. Thanks for keeping the faith Liam :-)
UPDATE: Dan says the new MP3 playing capability means you could call Optimal a podgrazer. And that domain isn't even registered yet - go on, you know you want to do it ;->
Wow, that's really cool, especially for introducing Irish podcasts to newbies for the first time as you pointed out.
I just need this as a plugin for wordpress now. Really looking forward to Kossos fully flash based (I guess) Treedia too.

"And that domain isn't even registered yet" It is now :-)
And maybe someday I will take the time to figure out what the bl***y hell all these grazing posts are about.

Hehe, good on you Keith, that's what I like to see. I'd have bought it myself but I'm trying to wean myself off my domain addiction ;->
"maybe someday I will take the time to figure out what the bl***y hell all these grazing posts are about."
Well you'd better bl**dy well figure it out now, shouldn't you ;->

Are people listening to podcasts this way without being killed for data charges?
