In a recent discussion on business blogging Tom Raftery asked Mary Gilmartin why she was authoring her company - Limerick based Advanced Technology Products - blog on a hosted space instead of their own server. Her answer?
Well quite simple, since business blogging a new idea, it was easier to convince ATP to take a risk on a hosted blog rather than put money into it yet. If the blog does really well we can get it a domain name or buy a blog software to move it to the same host as the website, while if it does badly the company hasn’t taken to big a risk.
Well it looks like the blog must have already done "really well" because Mary has now moved it to the the ATI server. Its using Wordpress and the latest post is about bird flu.
And I hope the new location makes things easier for people. :)
