Rowan Nairn has some more interesting thoughts on the Web2Ireland conference from this day last week -
Thursday’s event did contrast to the unconferences I’ve been at where the feeling really was “let’s push things forward”. I’d like to recreate that here in Ireland. So we’ve had the Web 2.0 conference. How about a Web 2.0ing conference? I caught a whiff of it during Adam Green’s roundtable. There are hackers out there interested in pushing things forward. I want a regular get-together focusing on them (us).
I know that Ed Byrne had similar feelings when I met him at the geek dinner in Galway recently and Fergus Burns says "Bottom line is we need more events that bring people together that will make “stuff” happen and create great businesses."
Indeed, let's make stuff happen at the upcoming TechCamp in Galway.
Hi James - when is that Galway event happenning?

I'm going by Emmet's comment on Rowan's blog post Conn -

June 10th and 11th apparently. I'll email Emmet to see if he has more details.

Sounds good to me. I'd love to get more discussion happening in the Web 2.0 community in Ireland. A mailing list, a central blog and then dinners and events.
