Damn, if I'd been passing through Shannon airport just a few days later I would have caught the spectacle of the world's largest passenger jet doing a few touch-n-goes. Now that's the way I want to fly to Boston :-)

James, I'm fascinated with these enormous jets too. Checked out the site, which is very blog-like, but no feed oh why oh why don't sitemakers don't that? http://events.airbus.com/A380/

Great link Amyloo, thanks! My God, doesn't the interior look so luxurious? Can't wait to fly somewhere in that monster.
Agreed, where the hell is the feed? :(

James
The Limerick Blogger has an excellent picture of the landing at Shannon here:

Thanks Chris but that was the one I already linked to wasn't it?

don't think this photo is Shannon, for two reasons.
1. Shannon doesn't have that freestanding ATC tower in the background.
2. The SNN visit was cancelled due to weather (according to the Clare People i read a few days back)

Huh, the landing was also covered on RTE News Damien!! :)

I'll have to watch more RTÉ and read less Clare People I guess....but, if they can fake the moon landings, then a jumbo in shannon would be no problem :-)
