One laptop per Adult

Ina spots the news that "The backers of the One Laptop Per Child project are looking at the possibility of selling the machine to the public. One idea would be for customers to have to buy two laptops at once - with the second going to the developing world." What an excellent idea, I'd love to do that as I'm sure would millions of others.

Looks the man himself Mr. Negroponte is not too keen on the idea of making the OLPC available to the masses... there is hope though , that eventually this may be the case, but it appears to be on long finger, here is an article outlining this: http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20070110-8593.html
