I installed a free-to-air satellite kit a while back but Channel 4 isn't yet FTA so Damien McCoy piqued my interest when he told me about 4oD, their On-Demand service. Unfortunately it requires an install, the latest version of Windows Media Player and a Microsoft DRM upgrade. But it's worth it because, aside from the pay-per-view programming, there's lots of good stuff available for free.
I'm enjoying Tricky Business in particular, a program which "follows the successes and failures of five ambitious young entrepreneurs as they seek to make their professional mark and become household names". So far I've watched the episodes about Boso and Cyclepods. It was interesting to contrast the difference in attitude among the young entrepreneurs regarding the advice given and the ensuing contrast in fortunes. Boso didn't appear to be gaining any traction (though the site is still online) while Cyclepods went from strength to strength with the founders confidence growing in tandem (pun intended ;-) culminating in success at the Young Entrepreneurs of the Year Awards 2006.
