It's safe to guesstimate that 90% of people who subscribe to this geeky blog need no introduction to Dan Bricklin the co-creator, with Bob Franston, of the VisiCalc spreadsheet software. The man is a living legend and more importantly a true gentleman. So it's an incredible honour for me to echo Mike's breaking news that Dan has joined our board of directors at Grazr. Yes indeed Mike, just.plain.awesome :-)
Not only that but we've completed a Series A financing round of $1.5M. The lead investors are Bruce Twickler and Louis Page, who are Boston area angels. I met Bruce and Louis the last time I was in Boston, very bright guys indeed and two more gentelemen. Pete Cashmore says, "Would everyone just stop getting funded already?" Hehe...
As if that weren't enough version 1.1 of our free Grazr feed management system is also complete. John Tropea says, "the magnificent OPML feed grazing widget is now hosting OPML"... which means you can, "upload your OPML at Grazr, where it will hosted with it’s own OPML URL, view it at Grazr, and take it with you as a widget (even quickly add it to your start page)."
Wow, what a day :)
[Reminder: I'm on the advisory board of Grazr corp]

Congrats James - great news. I did a podcast with Dan Bricklin on PodLeaders a couple of months back and he is a really bright, really generous guy. A fantastic catch.

Thanks Tom. Actually my comment about Dan being a gentleman largely stems from hearing him on your podcast and on IT conversations. He came across as softly spoken and down to earth despite all he has achieved. I'm really looking forward to meeting him.

James - I didn't realise you were on the advisory board. Congratulations on the recent news.

Thanks Alex! Hard to believe it's over a year since your podcast with Adam Green, Danny Ayers and Joshua Porter which covered some early thoughts on feed grazing. Boy, where does the time go?
