Great program giving an entertaining insight into some glamorous professions.

Last night I watched the second episode in the new season of "No Experience Required" on RTE2, 21:30 - 22:30.
If featured the glamorous world of PR as seen though the offices of Kennedy PR. Run by one of the top PR people in the country, Caroline Kennedy, the agency is a highly respected one that has an A-list roster of clients, which including the likes of The Brown Thomas Group and The Monart Spa in Wexford.
The first section of the program, where the various wannabes are interviewed was, as usual, hilarious and cringe worthy in equal measure. One particularly arrogant candidate met with a quick comeuppance.
After that we got a glimpse at the hectic side of PR when the 3 successful interviewees headed off to Monart Spa on Sunday afternoon to organize their first press trips and liaise with assigned journalists. This was quite an eye-opener for me as I'd no idea about the level of mediation by PR people in such a role.
Consecutive challenges included dealing with the media circus around a photocall involving Claudia Schiffer, and finding suitable patrons for photo shoots at a race meeting.
As usual this episode of "No Experience Required" was expertly produced and edited, capturing the both the glamorous and dull sides to the world of PR, while focusing on the drama and tension around the challenges faced by the candidates. Roll on next week's episode.
