Giving voice to VCs and entrepreneurs

Gregory Galant, quite an entrepreneur himself, is conducting a series of audio interviews with Venture Capitalists and other entrepreneurs under the banner of Venture Voice. Having listened to to two of the podcasts last night I went ahead and downloaded the lot today. Even though the sound quality is dire on a few they make for very worthwhile listening. Just look at the lineup - Evan Williams, Scott Rafer, Brad Feld and Joe Kraus among others.

Geared Up podcast

Its good to see more Irish podcasters arriving on the scene, the latest being Robin Blandford who's inaugural Geared Up show was quite good even if Robin was, as he admitted himself, rather sleepy at the time. Robin's got a great niche and I'm really looking forward to hearing more of his thoughts on GPS and Google mapping, particularly in how his experiences pertain to the OpenEir project.

Dave Winer quotes Dutch Uncle -

But for me the exact opposite is true. I'd be happy if Curry was to ditch the mash-ups, promos and showbiz gossip completely and just continue chronicling his start-up experiences. Of late he's been living life out of a suitcase, chartering planes to catch meetings and even getting face time with Steve Jobs. Its fascinating edutainment for any entrepreneur.

IT Conversations has an Irish editor

I never realised that Paul Power is an editor on IT Conversations. Nice one Paul - IT Conversations continues to occupy most of my podcast listening time.

The Irish Podcasting Laboratory

Irish podcasting guru - Liam Burke - seems to synthesize a new idea in his podcasting laboratory about once a month. His latest is Podish.

What is Podish - It is an idea from Liam Burke to give the Irish nation a voice through the means of Podcasting.

What do I do? - Podish is an open forum where you can speak your mind about any issue. All you need to do is grab your mobile phone... speak your mind and send it as an MMS to [email protected].

Simple? Yes, but of course the simplest ideas are often the best.

Recrimination-casting is brutally entertaining

The schism between the two Podfathers - Adam Curry and Dave Winer - is ultimately very sad but I have to admit the recent, emotionally charged, recrimination-casts relating to the origins of podcasting make for brutally entertaining listening, in a schafenfreude kind of way, and take this nascent art form to a new zenith.
